Pontet Canet Pauillac 2010

Brought by a friend and I opened it with him.
Red Bordeaux tone. Toasty and tobacco aromas. A wine with body.
Perfect with lamb stew.

Chateau Pontet-Canet

I bought Chateau Pontet-Canet at Uvinum.
A wine with a high layer and a nice cherry colour. Smells like red tea. Licorice flavour.

The history of the Château Pontet-Canet Grand Cru Classé of Pauillac, begins in the eighteenth century when Jean-François de Pontet, equerry of the royal governor of the Médoc, Pauillac are a few plots in order to produce his wine. If descendants will acquire nearby vineyards of the locality Canet. After belonging to the Cruse family for 110 years, Pontet Canet is now owned by Guy Tesseron Cognac producer.

The 80 hectares of vineyards are located south of Mouton Rothschild and Armailhac on serious ridges Garonne. The planting of the vineyard is composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

The wines are vinified for nearly 4 weeks period may vary depending on the variety, the plot and the age of the vines. Directly put in barrels (60% new), they will be high for 16 to 20 months.

This 2012 vintage is brilliant, a remarkable and captivating fruity. Pontet Canet offers incredible purity and will once again must.

Pontet Canet Pauillac 2017
I tried it during a wine tasting.
Violet red colour of a young wine. Smells of wood. It wasn't too sweet, it liked me.
Pontet Canet Pauillac pairs very well with a spicy fish .

Very light flavour. It uncurtains a scent of red and yellow roses.Well-balanced, with a good end.
A wine to be paired with "Tapas".
An ideal wine to give as gift.
