Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 2008 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot)

Dark, substantial, slightly oaky fruit. Lots of substance on the palate here, with good depth and extract. Polished, with a ripe tannic core and rather firm acidity. This wine has a fine composition, weighty but elegant. Fine potential.

Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 2008

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is one of the most significant second growths in Pauillac, Bordeaux. It neighbors first-growth powerhouse, Château Latour, with whom the estate shares a similar terroir and climate. This helps to explain the quality of the wine at Comtesse de Lalande, which is sometimes referred to as "nearly first growth".

Château Pichon Baron 2008

I bought it at the behest of a friend.
The colour was between red and brown. Aromas of walnuts and hazelnuts. Very soft.
I drank before the main meal, with starters and snacks.

Nuts presence on the nose. The Château Pichon Longueville Baron is a well-bodied wine.
I will buy it again, for sure.

Characteristic nuts notes. It has a very mild and pleasent flavour.
A great wine.

Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron 2015
We bought it at an online store that has closed meanwhile.
Bright ruby red colour with reddish brown highlights. Strong aromas of nuts. It had a subtle saltiness, very refreshing.
