TASTING NOTES OF Château Mouton Rothschild Double Magnum 1986:
- View: intense, dark, ruby tint.
- Nose: A nose of nuts and prunes, with notes of caramel, stale, hot spices and cedar wood.
- Mouth: dense attack, tannins up front, finely united, powerful, rich and smooth wine, a variety of fruit jam, wild berries and flavors of black currant liqueur, a final with notes of toast.
APPELLATION: Pauillac.
VINEYARD: Château Mouton Rothschild
GRAPES: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot 2%.

It's good, it can be recommended.
Cherry colour, as they all are. Strong smell of violets, it seemed odd. An oil-textured wine.
The Château Mouton Rothschild Double Magnum has a red cherry colour. You can really feel the vanilla smell. It was a surprising wine.
