Vino prodotto nella regione francese di Bordeaux, e inserito nella Classificazione Ufficiale dei Vini di Bordeaux del 1855. Questa classificazione ha un rilevante significato storico, è stata infatti voluta dall'imperatore Napoleone III al fine di conferire ancora piü riconoscibilità e rilevanza ai migliori vini di questa regione francese, in occasione dell'Esposizione Universale di Parigi. L'intento, si puö dire, era quindi quello di creare un brand facilmente riconoscibile anche oltre i territori della Francia. Questo vino è stato classificato premier cru, che è il piü alto dei cinque ordini di classificazione (dal primo al quinto cru). Lo Chateau Mointon Rothschild è prodotto con uve Cabernet Sauvignon, in prevalenza, e con uve Merlot e Cabernet Franc. La vendemmia avviene completamente a mano, mentre la fermentazione a temperatura controllata in botti di legno. A seguire il vino passa in barriques nuove di rovere, dove rimane dai 19 ai 22 mesi.
Le etichette, molto particolari, sono disegnate da un pittore contemporaneo e diverse per ciascuna annata.

It is not easy to find in a supermarket.
Intense ruby tone. Strong smell of berries. Softer than 2016.

Powerful aroma of strawberries. This 2015, compared with the previous one tasted like nothing.

We drank it just like that, without any food pairing. I opened this wine with my best friend.
Its intense colour attracted me. Fine aromas of raisins. It wasn't at its optimal service temperature, it would have tasted better if so.
