The Château Lynch Bages 2015 is an outstanding red wine made by Château Lynch Bages, only created in good vintages. This noble drink is one of the great from Pauillac and adds to the elite of the Grand Cru Classé wines. Its high quality is undeniable. Wine experts like Jancis Robinson, Robert Parker or Hachette gave very high evaluations and promoted the Château Lynch Bages 2015 into the wine aristocracy. The harvest took place completely manually between the 25th of September and the 10th of October 2015. The grapes were then selected very carefully. In order to get the best out of this red, enjoy the Château Lynch Bages 2015 from 2011 until 2030, with good storage also until 2035. Once opened, however, you should drink it in the next few days. After such a long time in the bottle, you should give the wine a nice decanting period in the carafe. Only this way, you'll enjoy all its elegant aromas which represent this Grand Cru Classé.

Château Lynch Bages 2015

Wine Château Lynch Bages Château Lynch Bages The 2015 has a fragrant bouquet, floral, of rare purity, with aromas of blackberry, strawberry, graphite and cedar. On the palate the tannins are fine and refined. A citrus wire communicates all the tension and the expected freshness. Domaine Château Lynch-Bages The history of Château Lynch-Bages is closely linked to that of the Lynch family, of Irish descent, who settled in the Gironde in the late seventeenth century. Thomas Michel Lynch takes possession of the area in 1749 through his wife, Elisabeth Drouillard, jurat the daughter of Bordeaux wine merchant Pierre Drouillard. In 1779, Thomas Michael Lynch bequeathed the Château Lynch-Bages to his son Jean-Baptiste, who too busy with his political career, leaving his brother Michael the privilege of administering the property and oversee the production of his wine. The Lynch family separates raw in 1824. The latter is then taken over by the family Jurine then in 1865 by Maurice and Henri Cayrou traders, whose descendants retain until 1939. That year, the Great Fifth Cru Classé of Pauillac was bought by Jean-Charles Cazes, who worked there as a farmer on behalf of the owner, General Félix de Vial. Under the direction of the Cazes family, the vineyard of Château Lynch-Bages extends considerably, some of it even being reserved to the production of a white wine, created in 1990. Reviews about Château Lynch Bages 2013

This vintage 2013 offers a nice quality. The wine shows a dark red shiny colour. On the nose it is characterised by aromas of black fruits like blackcurrant and blackberry. We also notice notes of toast offering a nice complexity. It is particularly dense and concentrated on the mouth. Balance is perfectly mastered. It expresses on ripe fruits and an elegant woody note. The tannin structure is remarkable, dense and silky. A wine also offering a fine length.

Reviews about Château Lynch Bages 2011

Located at Pauillac on the ancient villages of Bages, former property of the Lynch family, the 5th Cru Château Lynch-Bages has been for three generations in the hands of the Cazes family that manages its business with great success. On the 90 hectares of pebbles facing the Gironde, Jean-Charles Cazes, grows the majority of the Cabernet Sauvignon to a height, because of which they have been compared to several premier wines. Lynch-Bages is today a reference of the Bordeaux wine, always robust, which makes it difficult for an amateur to not possess several bottles well hidden.

The Château Lynch-Bages experiences several great success stories. After an excellent 2010 vintage, the 2011 proves once again the great quality of this Cru.

The robe of this vintage ist profound, intense and shimmery. The nose surprises with great freshness and intense scents of black berries.
The amateurs of the Cru will get once again their money's worth, with a pure wine and its fine, generous texture and elegant tannins.
The long-lasting finale explodes on fruits and a fine acidity.
