Gelegen in Pauillac im ehemaligen Weiler von Bages, ehemaliges Gut der Familie Lynch, ist der 5te Cru des Schlosses Lynch-Bages,
seit drei Generationen im Besitz der Familie Cazes welche das Gut mit Erfolg leitet. Auf den 90 Hektaren des mittleren Graves welche Richtung Gironde schauen,zieht Jean-Michel Cazes « der neue Baron von Bordeaux », zieht eine Mehrheit des Cabernet Sauvignon durch die Gipfel de Ruhmes welche sie vergleichen mit Einzelnen Grossen. Lynch-Bages
ist heute eine Bordeaux Referenz, immer robust, wobei es für einen Amateur schwer zu sein scheint, nicht einige gut versteckte Flaschen zu haben.

This Lynch Bages 2010 is composed of 79% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% of Merlot, 2% of Cabernet Franc and 1% of Petit Verdot.
Its colour is dark, intense and very brilliant.
At the nose it is intense and fresh, with aromas of black fruits.
The attack in mouth is pulpy, with good tannins. The finish is gorgeous and persistant.

Château Lynch Bages 2010 it is the classic style of Pauillac ally to the grandiose of a solar vintage.

Situé à Pauillac sur l’ancien hameau de Bages, anciennement bien de la famille Lynch, le 5ème cru Château Lynch-Bages est depuis trois générations propriété de la famille Cazes qui le pilote avec succès. Sur les 100 ha de graves moyennes qui font face à la Gironde, Jean-Charles Cazes, élève une majorité de Cabernet Sauvignon vers des sommets qui les font comparer à certains premiers. L'élevage dure de 12 à 18 mois, dans des barriques à 70% neuves.Lynch-Bages est aujourd’hui une référence du Bordelais, toujours robuste, dont il semble difficile pour un amateur de ne pas posséder quelques bouteilles bien cachées.

Le millésime 2010 se compose de 79% de Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% de merlot, 2% de Cabernet Franc et 1% de Petit Verdot.
La robe du millésime 2010 est sombre, intense et très belle.
Le nez est intense et frais, sur des arômes de fruits noirs.
L'entrée en bouche est finement pulpeuse. Ses tannins sont denses, et laissent présager un grand potentiel de garde. Le vin se développe savoureux et fondant sur une bonne longueur.

Les amateurs du cru y trouveront leur compte, avec un vin flamboyant et magnifique de densité, doté d'un corps généreux et d'une structure tannique imposante.
L'ensemble se fond néanmoins et le cru conserve son moelleux légendaire, avec une grande fraîcheur d'arômes et une finale qui explose sur des notes de fruits noirs.
Lynch-Bages 2010 c'est le style classique de Pauillac allié à la grandeur d'un millésime solaire.

This vintage 2013 offers a nice quality. The wine shows a dark red shiny colour. On the nose it is characterised by aromas of black fruits like blackcurrant and blackberry. We also notice notes of toast offering a nice complexity. It is particularly dense and concentrated on the mouth. Balance is perfectly mastered. It expresses on ripe fruits and an elegant woody note. The tannin structure is remarkable, dense and silky. A wine also offering a fine length.

Located at Pauillac on the ancient villages of Bages, former property of the Lynch family, the 5th Cru Château Lynch-Bages has been for three generations in the hands of the Cazes family that manages its business with great success. On the 90 hectares of pebbles facing the Gironde, Jean-Charles Cazes, grows the majority of the Cabernet Sauvignon to a height, because of which they have been compared to several premier wines. Lynch-Bages is today a reference of the Bordeaux wine, always robust, which makes it difficult for an amateur to not possess several bottles well hidden.


The Château Lynch-Bages experiences several great success stories. After an excellent 2010 vintage, the 2011 proves once again the great quality of this Cru.

The robe of this vintage ist profound, intense and shimmery. The nose surprises with great freshness and intense scents of black berries.
The amateurs of the Cru will get once again their money's worth, with a pure wine and its fine, generous texture and elegant tannins.

We didn't pair it well, but the wine was good. A wine to drink with your family.
At sight it has an intensive cherry colour. Tobacco aromas. It reminded me of black plums.
