The Château Lynch Bages 1997 is an outstanding red wine made by Château Lynch Bages, only created in good vintages. This noble drink is one of the great from Pauillac and adds to the elite of the Grand Cru Classé wines. Its high quality is undeniable. Wine experts like Jancis Robinson, Robert Parker or Hachette gave very high evaluations and promoted the Château Lynch Bages 1997 into the wine aristocracy. The harvest took place completely manually between the 25th of September and the 10th of October 1997. The grapes were then selected very carefully. In order to get the best out of this red, enjoy the Château Lynch Bages 1997 from 2011 until 2030, with good storage also until 2035. Once opened, however, you should drink it in the next few days. After such a long time in the bottle, you should give the wine a nice decanting period in the carafe. Only this way, you'll enjoy all its elegant aromas which represent this Grand Cru Classé.

Intense red colour. The nose is powerful with elegant oak background, blackcurrant, menthol, résin, mocha. The taste is persistent, rich, impressive concentration of ripe, round tannin. The 2% of petit verdot bring in the end a touch of violet, blackberry.

Jammy black currant fruit intermixed with cedar wood, herbs, spice, and pepper; light-styled yet friendly effort with creamy new oak, low acidity, and a medium-bodied, attractive albeit superficial appeal

Reviews about Château Lynch-Bages 2011
The Château Lynch-Bages experiences several great success stories. After an excellent 2010 vintage, the 2011 proves once again the great quality of this Cru.
The robe of this vintage ist profound, intense and shimmery. The nose surprises with great freshness and intense scents of black berries.
The amateurs of the Cru will get once again their money's worth, with a pure wine and its fine, generous texture and elegant tannins.
The long-lasting finale explodes on fruits and a fine acidity.

The attack in mouth is pulpy, with good tannins. The finish is gorgeous and persistant.
