The Winery
Château Latour

Chateau Latour wrote history, The building states its first mentioning in a document dating back to 1331, in which the lord, Gaucelme de Castillon, gives permission to build a fortress tower to defend the region during the Hundred Years War. Three hundred years later, the estate fell into the hands of Alexandre de Segur, which was awarded by King Louis XV with the title "Prince of wine". The Chateau Latour went through many hands and families, in the 20th century the estate belonged to the British until it finally returned to French ownership. The Segur family finally received shares of 7%.

Château Latour 2014
It has a very nice colour. A red that smells of cherry and licorice. I don't know what it was but it tasted ripe.
To this red would have suit better a softer meat.
This red wine is cherry with brown edges. Strong aromas of oak and cedar. It reminded me of licorice.
Ett bra mellanlagrat vin med körsbärsfärg. Tydlig lukt av vinbär. Smaken var ganska vinig.
