TASTING NOTES OF Château Lafite Rothschild 2012:
- View: red very dark.
- Nose: notes of fruit and wood.
- Mouth: firm structure, dense, but then outstanding balance. Final high density, light tannins as air.
APPELLATION: Pauillac.
GRAPES: 91% Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 8.5% 0.5% Petit Verdot.
WINE PAIRING: cured meats and cheeses.
TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
ALCOHOL: 13.5%

Château Lafite Rothschild
While the first known reference to Lafite dates back to 1234 with a certain Gombaud of Lafite, abbot of the Monastery of Vertheuil north of Pauillac, Lafite as the existence of Medieval property is documented from the fourteenth century.
