TASTING NOTES OF Lafite Rothschild 1980:
- View: red sharp, dark maroon.
- Nose: expressive aroma of black berries and licorice.
- Mouth: generous, gentle, good length on the finish.

GRAPES: 70% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot, cabernet franc 3%, 2% Petit Verdot

Château Lafite Rothschild
While the first known reference to Lafite dates back to 1234 with a certain Gombaud of Lafite, abbot of the Monastery of Vertheuil north of Pauillac, Lafite as the existence of Medieval property is documented from the fourteenth century.
