TASTING NOTES OF Château Lafite Rothschild 1928:
- View: red.
- Nose: aromas promising graphite, brush, cassis and earth.
- Mouth: great structure, lots of fresh and ripe fruit. Very good length.
APPELLATION: Pauillac.

GRAPES: 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.

While the first known reference to Lafite dates back to 1234 with a certain Gombaud of Lafite, abbot of the Monastery of Vertheuil north of Pauillac, Lafite as the existence of Medieval property is documented from the fourteenth century.
