In 1948, the castle was detached from the famous Château Duhart-Milon, home of the Rothschild family also owner of Château Lafite. This wine is very aromatic and round, being the excellent year 2008. It consists of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon in equal amount and is produced on a gravelly soil. Excellent quality, this wine is ready to drink.

2009 was generally a very good year in this region. Château Haut Bages Monpelou 2009 is a wine that seduces with its aromas and elegance.

We drank the whole bottle at once with friends and a good conversation.
Classic red cherry color of a 2016. Toasty aromas. It has a good entry.
I had it with fish, but I didn't like the fish, and therefore the wine didn't taste right.

It has a strong caramel smell. Good taste, light wine.
It is a very recommendable Pauillac.
