A really tasteful wine of red ruby colour. It shows sweet aromas. Fleshy. Chocolate coulant taste.
Did not seem well with fish, I would have preferred a vegetable stew.
My friends wanted me to taste it.
It was a gift.
A real evergreen of wines.

Château Grand Puy Ducasse 2012

Middle of the 18th century acquired Pierre Ducasse, a lawyer from Bordeaux, scattered vineyards mostly from his grandfather Artiques Arnaud and extended his possession. "Grand Puy" (large hill or mountain) stands for a district name within the community Pauillac. The layers (about 38 ha of vines on 50 acres owned) are divided into three parts and boundaries partly to the vineyards of Mouton and Lafite-Rothschild in the north or in the south Batailley. It was founded in 2004 for financial reasons to the group CA Grands Crus (Groupe Credit Agricole) sold and has since been maintained by Denis Dubourdieu.

2013 is a challenging vintage. Despite a relatively late maturity, the heat of August was beneficial for the Cabernet Sauvignon. The Castle has focused lots of Cabernet Sauvignon that underpin an elegant tannic structure. As for the Merlots, they give the delicacy of the fruit. Harvesting is done manually with a first sorting in the vineyard. The grapes are sorted again by means of an optical sorting device latest generation. The wine was produced in thermo-regulated tanks. Part of Lots operates its malolactic fermentation in new barrels.
This 2013 vintage makes a comeback. Its 62% Cabernet gives it a nice tannic structure, highlighted by a generous fruit by Merlot. It will seduce you with its roundness.

Better pair it with vegetables. Fine! We enjoyed it.
Red wine with reddish brown edges. Main smell of caramel. Perfect balance of acidity.

Grand Puy Ducasse Pauillac 2016
Sensual aromas of cherries. It seemed a bit salty, it reminded me the sea.
Worthwhile.
