Château Haut Batailley

The history of Château Haut Batailley: Batailley Part of the castle until 1942, Haut-Batailley that year became the property of Madame de Brest-Borie, the sister of Jean-Eugene Borie, who managed the vineyard and make wine worthy of the known that the vineyard has enjoyed since the mid-eighteenth century. The farm does not have any castle. The wines are now made by the owners of the castle Ducru Beaucaillou, who are cousins.

I bought it here and I was very satisfied.
Colour of glacé cherry. It uncurtains a scent of red and yellow roses. The taste was a bit salty, I was greatly surprised.

I drank this 2015 with my co-workers.
Typical opacity of a Château Haut Batailley. I cleary noticed toasty notes. Strong flavour which reminds me of strawberry candy.
The best one to enjoy it with a good "Serrano ham".

In my opinion, the most noticeable smell is raspberry. Licorice flavour.
My final conclusion is positive.

Toasty and tobacco aromas. This 2009 is quite like the previous vintage.
This wine is rather watery for my taste.
