Goats do Roam Goats do Roam Red 2019
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Intense garnet.
- Nose: red fruits, plums and mixed spices for baking.
- Mouth: rich in generous berries and spices, balanced and integrated oak nuances.
APPELLATION: Western Cape.
GRAPES: Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo and Shiraz.
AGEING: the wine was matured both in deposits and in barrels before mixing, stabilization and bottling.
PREPARATION: the grape was harvested during the months of February and March 2013 and de-stemmed and lightly crushed in stainless steel. Each variety of grape and vineyard was fermented separately. The wort inoculated with yeast Rhone is performed and traced up to four times a day during fermentation. After fermentation, the wines were transferred to deposits and barrels for malolactic fermentation that lasted two months.
WINE PAIRING: rich food with Mediterranean-style dishes such as roast with mushrooms slolomillo Roquefort and lamb braised.
ALCOHOL: 13.8%
- Medium-bodied with firm tannins, the youthful palate has generous berry fruit and hints of spice from the oak with a long, fresh finish.
