The Oltrepò Pavese is an area of the province of Pavia, which covers a total area of nearly 100,000 hectares - distributed among plains, hills and mountains. Its name comes from the fact that it is south of the River Po, in the Northern Apennines. Strategic area much fought over the centuries, passed into the hands of the powers of the time: France, Spain, Austria. Third "region" in the world for extension of Pinot Noir and second, in the beautiful country, area "dedicated to wine" (with 16,200 hectares of specialized cultivation and 1 million hectoliters per year of product), the Oltrepò he was' Pavia "only in 1860, close to the proclamation of the Unification of Italy. The farm Travaglino Calvignano has a long history, that smells of must and takes on the colors of the "hills of vineyards" Oltrepò Pavese. And in those brown limestone-clay soils are rooted vineyards of an estate that sees the beginnings in Medioevo.Il Montécerésino Cruasé is obtained from natural soft pressing of the best GRAPES Pinot Noir grown in the homonymous plot located in the most "high" Company (380 mt. above sea level). It is aged on the lees for 24 months. Natural pink color with hints of wild berries, cassis, currant, raspberry and iris on a background of red jam. Harmonious with a pleasant almond aftertaste amara.Grazie to its great complexity of taste and smell, can be served with any meal, well supporting preparations of meat.
