Alfredo Prunotto Occhetti Nebbiolo D'Alba Prunotto 2006

Prunotto is located in Alba, the most important center of the Langhe region in Piedmont equidistant between the towns of Barbaresco and Barolo. fascinating and exciting territory, not only by the magnificence of the natural landscape, colors and tranquility of the place, but also by the historical footprints that characterize castles, medieval and baroque town real estate all testimony to the secular history of this part of Italy. The vineyard Occhetti di Monteu Roero is located at an altitude of 250m above the level of the sea. The year 2005 was characterized by a relatively mild winters with limited rainfall followed by a spring with cool temperatures and low punctuated events rainy. The summer was marked by her rising temperatures alternating with cooler periods but always without high precipitation. Finally in September began with some rainy periods but stabilized thereafter with summer temperatures and high thermal amplitudes between day and night, thus promoting the accumulation of sugars and aromatic substances in the seeds. The harvest débutées October 1 and ends on 5. The maceration phase lasted ten days at a maximum temperature of 29 ° while the fermentation was concluded before the start of winter. There followed two refining stages: the first in oak barrels for 12 months and then in bottle before commercialization. The resulting wine is of good intensity ruby color tending towards garnet. Elegant bouquet with scents, fruity notes such as raspberry, or flowers such as rose. At the palace we appreciate its full flavor, harmonious and long aftertaste. soft and elegant wine it goes perfectly with delicate dishes and is preferably used at a temperature around 16 °.

Alfredo Prunotto Occhetti Nebbiolo D'Alba Prunotto 2006

The Alfredo Prunotto Occhetti Nebbiolo D'Alba Prunotto even grades up pairing it with a delicious Iberian ham. I shared this bottle with my friends at home.
Classic red cherry color of a 2006. Nice aromas of blackberries in this . One of the lightest Alfredo Prunotto that I know.

A ruby red of good intensity tending towards garnet. Elegant in aroma with notes of raspberries, roses and liquorice, full and balanced in flavor with a lengthy aftertaste.. The Nebbiolo Occhetti, being such a round and elegant wine, is very versatile and a perfect match for hot antipasti, first courses and light meat dishes.

I tasted at an organized wine tasting.
Bright ruby red colour with reddish brown highlights. Balsamic aromas. Flavours are well balanced.
I like it with the meat we ate.

Alfredo Prunotto Occhetti Nebbiolo D'Alba Prunotto 2005
Good Spanish serrano ham, that's the best pairing. I sometimes surprise my family with this wine.
Reddish brown isn't really a good colour for this wine, but it didn't taste bad.. Sour aromas of gooseberries. Softer than 2005.
