Louis Jadot Moulin-À-Vent Château Des Jacques 2017 (Gamay)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: dense cherry red and bright.
- Nose: beautiful and incipient bouquet of cherries, raspberries, candied peel and warm spices.
- Mouth: medium-bodied palate full-bodied, deep, pure, velvety tannins, succulent acidity end subtle oak.
APPELLATION: Moulin à Vent.
VINES: vines Château des Jacques are grown according to methods of natural cultivation (complete abandonment of chemical pesticides).
GRAPES: 100% Gamay.
AGEING:
PREPARATION: Gamay grapes vinified as Pinot Noir is Burgundy: strictly selected. The perfectly ripe grapes are completely destemmed, fermented in about three weeks (instead of the usual eight to ten days) with regular flooding of the pomace.
WINE PAIRING: boeuf bourguignon.
ALCOHOL: 13.5%

The Maison Louis Jadot is a family-run winery that has been producing and marketing wines in Burgundy since 1859. It controls more than 250 hectares and produces only wines with AOC-status (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée).

It has a dark red colour. Deep aromas of violets and menthol. It was light but tasted like blackberries.
