“The red wine is Estones of 14, 5% Alc. prepared by the Mas Vins Sersal cellar area Falset (Tarragona), within the D. O. Montsant. The Estones red is made from a blend of grapes Grenache and wench, obtained from a farm in Falset on slate floors and sloping terrain. Harvesting is done manually, individually and in small boxes. Once in the hold, is selected and transferred to stainless steel tanks where fermented macerated for 21 days and Grenache and 25 the wench. Then pressed and the wine is transferred to French oak barrels American Grenache and the wench, where they perform malolactic fermentation and rest for 14 months. Subsequently, the wine is stabilized, filtered slightly, the blend is made and finally bottled. CATAVISTA: The Estones Crianza has a cherry color, high intensity, with maroon trim and a small, slow and tear ink cup. NOSE: The Estones red offers a delicate balance between the ripe fruit, which include strawberries, blackberries, plums, and aging aromas, soothing, something spicy and mild licorice background. MOUTH: The Cianza Estones is a red with body and volume of soft entry, with an acidity in equilibrium with a mature tannin, slow and followed by a mature retro nasal, spicy and mineral step. TIPS: The Estones Crianza is a complex wine, full of nuances, a red that takes time. It should be opened half an hour before serving and decant, if possible, to get their best. It will combine well with red meats, stews, game, mature cheeses, etc. . . Best served between 14 and 16ºC.”
“Olfactory is very complex, rapidly changing as we give time decanter or inside the cup, dominated by a very fresh, red and black fruit forest (fresita, blackberries, plum) under a balsamic background (licorice, eucalyptus, mint), slightly spicy (black pepper, clove) and even touches of aging (cocoa, coffee, toast). The palate has a soft attack, with a slow step, where the acidity is fresh and balanced, and where fruit and aging notes mingle subtly. The aftertaste is long, elegant and persistent”
- View: Estones 10 2009 shows an intense cherry color with violet tones. Clean and bright. Good tear ink cup.
- Nose: Elegant, intense and complex. With a strong minerality and intense balsamic, will appear very cool, red and black fruit, expressiveness and gaining prominence as it is opening. The fruit is accompanied by hints of spice, something spicy and typical notes of aging: Serious toasted notes of mocha and chocolate.
- Palate: Elegant and tasty wine that goes by smoothly, with a silky texture. Long journey full of fruit intermixed with toasty aromas, mineral and mild spices. Ripe tannins and very good acidity. Saves a great balance. Long and persistent finish.
A serious, complex wine that will return us to the image of Montsant.
