The Alvear Pedro Ximénez 1927 is a real Andalusian jewel. A rarity produced by one of the oldest wineries of Córdoba. This sherry wine shows a nice balance between freshness and sweetness and is best served cool at 8ºC. You don't have to finish the bottle at once, however, you can keep it in the fridge for a month after opening it. It's an incredible value for money with an outstanding rating of 96/100 by Robert Parker.

  • Nose: Elegant, powerful, attractive, notes of raisins, roasted, memories of pastries, coffee liqueur.
  • Mouth: Complex, sweet, broad, smooth, memories of candy coffee, cacao on raisins. Long finish.

APPELLATION: Montilla-Moriles

VINEYARD: Bodegas Alvear

GRAPES: Pedro Ximénez

AGEING: In traditional criaderas and solera, aged for five years in American oak casks.

PREPARATION: made from sun-dried grapes.

PAIRING: Cabrales, coulant chocolate, foie micuit, nuts.

TEMPERATURE: between 10ºC and 12ºC
