Tenuta Ulisse Nativae Montepulciano D'Abruzzo 2013

Nativae Montepulciano DAbruzzo DOP is a wine with 4 months maceration on the skins, unfiltered and unclarified. Fermented spontaneously with the yeast hidden in the grape. This extraordinary wine is made from 40 year old grapes cultivated with wisdom. This wine is our respect for the traditions of the native region. This is fine winemaking at its purest, most fundamental level.

The Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Nativae of Ulysses Tenuta born in the heart of Abruzzo wine scene, in the province of Chieti. It is produced entirely from grapes Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, collected and carefully selected by hand. The fermentation takes place in cement tanks at a temperature not controlled and without any filtration. The wine is aged first in cement tanks and then in bottle before being placed on the market. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is characterized by a deep red color with garnet. The nose gives off aromas of fire enriched with notes of ripe plums. The taste is strong and intense, pleasantly acid and with a good balance of tannins. Perfect to accompany main dishes cooked red meat on the grill, it is ideal to be served with game.
