Gérard Bertrand Le Viala Minervois la Liviniere 2014 (Carignan, Grenache and Syrah)
- View: beautiful deep garnet color with purple edges.
- Nose: Powerful ripe fruit and violet.
- Mouth: Very good attack on the palate, soft tannins and woody notes, good balance, infinity end
APPELLATION: AOP Minervois La Liviniere.
VINEYARD: Celler Gérard Bertrand.
GRAPES: Syrah, Grenache and Carignan.
AGEING: aged for 12 months.
PREPARATION: The harvest is done manually and the grapes are carefully selected upon arrival at the winery. Syrah and Carignan grape hatch in whole bunches, then are fermented in carbonic maceration. Grenache destemmed grapes and are fermented in traditional maceration, taking a comprehensive temperature control. After racking and malolactic fermentation of wine, different varieties are assembled and the wine is placed in new barrels.
