Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay 2017 (Chardonnay)

TASTING NOTES:

View: A view is bright yellow color and.
Nose: delicate nose with floral aromas, white flowers accompanied by mineral notes.
Mouth: The palate is elegant flavors of pear, apple, good acidity, refreshing is perceived with a long, lingering finish.

APPELLATION: Mendoza (Argentina).

GRAPES: Chardonnay.

AGEING: Aged for 12-16 months in French oak barrels.

PREPARATION: White Stones "Piedras Blancas" is the name of a small plot of Adrianna vineyard. Its name refers to the composition of the soil has abundant presence of white oval stones, gravel covered. The stony soil prevents deep root growth, providing optimum drainage. This soil organic matter poor vines contributes to better withstand stress conditions.

In 1994, Nicolas and his team were confident they had identified the best lots for growing Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. First, Jose Galante, winemaker since 1975, bottling a small cut grapes from the oldest and most uniform batches of Uxmal vineyard (which later was called because of its location Agrelo vineyard in the district of Agrelo). 300 cases were divided wine Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay reminded me of jasmine on the nose. Passes easily across the palate, smooth and very nice.
A Bodega Catena Zapata at its optimal time to drink.

Perfect for rice with vegetables. Brought by a friend and I opened it with him.
Like many Chardonnay it had a light golden brown colour. As soon as I smelled it, I noticed the white flowers scent. You can drink the whole bottle without realizing it.

The Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay has a deep yellow colour. The Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay reminded me of jasmine on the nose. Blueberry flavour.
I think the best pairing would be with meat.
I thought the Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay would be perfect for a romantic evening.
