Catena Alta Malbec 2010 (Malbec)
TASTING NOTES OF Catena Alta Malbec 2010:
- View: saturated dark purple.
- Nose: ripe berries, layers of wildflowers, mocha and snuff.
- Mouth: with excellent weight and strength, a silky smooth texture, fruit flavors of cassis and blackcurrant notes of chocolate, vanilla and black pepper. A final with a wonderful minerality, well integrated tannins and lively acidity.
APPELLATION: Mendoza.
GRAPES: Malbec.
WINE PAIRING: beef, cheese, chocolate, duck, lamb, roast beef.

In 1994, Nicolas and his team were confident they had identified the best lots for growing Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. First, Jose Galante, winemaker since 1975, bottling a small cut grapes from the oldest and most uniform batches of Uxmal vineyard (which later was called because of its location Agrelo vineyard in the district of Agrelo). 300 cases were divided wine Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon.

Such a gorgeous cherry red. Predominant coffee and wood aromas. Slightly peculiar, very good.
