Alamos Chardonnay 2019 (Chardonnay)
- View: pale yellow, greenish reflections.
- Nose: fruity aromas, pear, apple, grapefruit, floral aromas, spices, pepper and vanilla.
- Mouth: fresh, noble and concentrated.
VINEYARD: vineyards located between 900 and 1500 meters above sea level in the foothills of the Andes. The sharp light intensity, cold nights, and snowmelt irrigation water, rich in minerals, provide concentrated wines with intense flavors.
GRAPES: 100% Chardonnay.
AGEING: 5 months aging in French and American oak.
PREPARATION: destemmed grapes and pressed. Cooling wort and fettle prior to fermentation. This is carried out in stainless steel between 15 and 18 days at a controlled temperature of 15 to 18ºC. Duration 18 to 20 days. 65% of the wine has undergone malolactic fermentation.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 7-10ºC
In 1994, Nicolas and his team were confident they had identified the best lots for growing Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. First, Jose Galante, winemaker since 1975, bottling a small cut grapes from the oldest and most uniform batches of Uxmal vineyard (which later was called because of its location Agrelo vineyard in the district of Agrelo). 300 cases were divided wine Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon.More about the Winery

This 2017 has a very clear golden colour. Clearly noticeable aromas of white fruits. Good acidity for my taste.
