Hess Select Zinfandel Mendocino County 2016 (Carignan, Zinfandel and Petite Syrah)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: intense ruby red color.
- Nose: Aromas of cassis with hints of pepper, raspberries, blackberries and red currants.
- Mouth: dry, with soft tannins and intense sweetness on the palate. It has notes of red fruits and hints of toasted wood and vanilla in its final half-length.
APPELLATION: California (United States).
VINEYARD: The Hess Collection.
GRAPES: Zinfadel (84%), Petite Sirah (14%) and Carigna (2%).
AGEING: Madura for 12 months in oak barrels.
PREPARATION: The grapes are harvested by hand and maceration in stainless steel tanks for aromatic extract and finally fermentation in wooden barrels is done.
WINE PAIRING: Ideal to accompany grilled meats, pasta and rice with meat.
