TASTING NOTES:

  • View: deep purple, a red border.
  • Nose: aromas of fresh cassis, black currants, wild blackberry fruit, leather, heather notes, anise and cedar.
  • Mouth: delicious rich cassis fruit, black currant, long and persistent palate, fine sandy tannins, oak French, a wine with a wonderful line and a chiseled structure.

APPELLATION: Mac Laren Okay.

GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon 100%.

AGEING: aged for 14 months in oak barrels, making the mixture and left for 3 months.

PREPARATION: After pressing, the grapes are transferred directly into new barrels and seasoned French oak where complete malolactic fermentation.

WINE PAIRING: red, lamb meat gratin with celery.

ALCOHOL: 14.5%

- Displays fresh cassis and blackcurrants with wild blackberry fruits. Leather, briary notes and anise with cedar compliment the fruits.
- Lovely rich cassis and blackcurrant fruits line the mouth providing a long and persistent palate with 'classic McLaren Vale Cabernet' mid palate richness. The fine sandy tannins and French Oak add to the texture to provide a wine with wonderful line and chiseled structure.
