D'Arenberg The Noble Wrinkled Riesling 375ml 2016

It's a very pretty and lifted nose with fruit characters of fresh apple, mixed peel and rose petals with a spicy background of star anise, cinnamon sticks and a hint of white pepper. The palate is lively and floral with yellow citrus flowers, green mango and barley sugar. The acidity is linear and spans the whole palate balancing the natural sugar nicely. There are restrained mineral fruit tannins which add a lovely textural element.

This wine is clean, concentrated and refreshing The nose is lifted with an abundance of honey and citrus notes and the palate is full of lemon pie, honey dew and quince paste flavours The acidity is tight but forgiving, resulting in a beautifully balanced wine with a long finish

One of the finest Rieslings in Australia. A rare wine, comparable to a German Beerenauslese. Straw gold, rich consistency, aromas of dried apricots, dried fruit, lemon, pineapple and mango, intense and refreshing on the finish, with a balancing acidity.

It should be sold at the supermarkets.
The Riesling had a very deep color. It is the lightest D'Arenberg I've ever tasted .

- Pairing:
In it’s youth this wine is crisp and provides versatility when matching to a wide range of desserts It works particularly well with elements containing fresh tropical fruits As it ages it will take on a deeper colour and the flavour will develop further into the dried fruit spectrum making it a sensational match to strong cheeses.
