Château Palmer 2009 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot)

  • Colour: Château Palmer 2009 is a dark
  • Nose: It has a slightly warmer profile here in the nose, reflecting prodigious concentration of Merlot.
  • Palate: More powerful and structured well, in fact. Thick tannins and fresh acidity still, propping admirable concentration of fruit, which is very refined in terms of style, but with a very high floral presence.

GRAPES: 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 54% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot

Château Palmer 2009

The early wet and cool spring resulted in a rather late bud break is a start of the slow growing vegetative shoot
A hail storm on May 11 affected the Palmer vineyard without affecting the quality potential of the crop
From June onwards, the climatic conditions were very lenient
The flowering takes place quickly and evenly in a dry and sunny climate
The sunny and bright summer that followed was particularly conducive to the accumulation of qualitative potential: a summer without excess, which did not suffer a devastating storm or excessive heat wave, with some scattered and moderate rains beneficial
Under these very favorable conditions, vegetative growth stops rapidly
The veraison proceeds, like the flower, quickly and well! According to the terroirs, the water supply becomes more and more constraining: the vines suffer, the berries are concentrated and the fruit quality potential looks excellent
The month of September and October did not disappoint our hopes and offered to the vine ideal conditions of maturation of the grapes and harvest!

Margaux Château Palmer 3Ème Cru Classe 2009

I bought it with my partner in a wine shop.
Bright red and purple reflections. Slight smell of tea in this Bordeaux. It has a very mild and pleasant flavour.

Finesse and elegance, typical of the great wines of Margaux, are the permanent trademarks of Château Palmer, characterized by the softness and refinement of silk, the warmth of velvet, and the leather of noblesse. The unusual combination of grape varieties - as much Merlot as Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Petit Verdot - gives Château Palmer a bouquet of extraordinary complexity, with fruit, flowers, and spice wrapped in a fleshy and generous structure.

Margaux Château Palmer 3Ème Cru Classe 2009

- Robert Parker Wine Advocate in February
- 2013: 'The 2010 Palmer is one of the superstars of the vintage, a blend of 54% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot, All which is just slightly different than what I Indicated two years ago
- The alcohol level hit 14.5%, and the wine comes Across more like a stacked-and-packed version of Their 2000
- It is tannic and backward, but has a sensational black / purple color and a gorgeous nose of camphor, barbecue smoke, blackberry and cassis
- Full-bodied, with oodles of glycerin but a Relatively healthy pH, this wine has a precision and freshneß did belie its lofty alcohol and extravagant concentration
- This is a sensationally rich, full-throttle Palmer That Could well end up being one of the all-time great wines made at this estate
- It needs a good 7-10 years of cellaring and shoulderstand keep for 50 or more years
- 'allergens: contains sulfites

Aromas of dried fruits. This Margaux stands out for its warm and balanced character.
I'll repeat with Margaux.

This Château Palmer wine goes well with food. I drank it plane.
I noticed a dull colour. Nice smell like nuts. A little rough, it may need more time in bottle.
