Description of Château Cantenac-Brown 2015
Château Cantenac-Brown 2015 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot)
For those who like a gentle style of wine that is easy to drink, it offers a generous amount of soft and tolerant blackcurrant fruit, medium body and a smooth finish.
At the beginning of the 19th century, John-Lewis Brown (1769-1851), acquired a domain and chose to build on the commune of Cantenac a castle of English Renaissance style (Tudor) which will remind him of his Scottish origins. His name will remain forever attached to the Grand Cru Classé. His grandson, John-Lewis Brown (1829-1890), famous animal painter and Knight of the Legion of Honor, also stayed there as a child.More about the Winery
Reviews of Château Cantenac-Brown 2015
Red intense cherry colour and very high layer. It smells like sweets. This red is lasting, it has a long aftertaste.
Good wine to drink between hours.
Cherry colour, as they all are. Coffee aromas. Very rough in the mouth.
To this red would have suit better a softer meat.
Burgundy colour. Smell of ripe fruit compote. I liked the Château Cantenac-Brown Margaux Grand Cru Classé, although it tasted a bit rough.
A wine of Château Cantenac Brown will improve any meal.
