Château Cantenac-Brown 2005 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot)
- View: Château Cantenac-Brown 2005 has an intense color.
- Nose: The nose has notes of cherry and violets. The tannins are round and silky.
- Palate: The vintage decisive, mixed by the new owners. This exceptional vintage has a lot of complexity. The Grand Vin is a blend with 50% of the vintage. The long, sunny add has been stopped several times to let each class of grapes reach perfect maturity and lead to the creation of a complex wine, balanced and typical of great Margaux. His new label also shows the elegance of the wine, whose inspiration came from the property records: easier to read, more clarity to bring out all the qualities of wines. The 2005 is fresh with good length at the end. It is one of the greatest vintages of Château Cantenac Brown.
WINERY: Château Cantenac Brown
At the beginning of the 19th century, John-Lewis Brown (1769-1851), acquired a domain and chose to build on the commune of Cantenac a castle of English Renaissance style (Tudor) which will remind him of his Scottish origins. His name will remain forever attached to the Grand Cru Classé. His grandson, John-Lewis Brown (1829-1890), famous animal painter and Knight of the Legion of Honor, also stayed there as a child.More about the Winery
