The nose is fresh, with black fruit, licorice scented and a little sweetness. Lean and stony on the palate, although there is a sweet fruit character. Stylich in the middle, but harder in the end. Fresh, well weighted, with some substance and attractive notes of vanilla and raspberry.

Château d'Issan is a winery in the Margaux appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Troisièmes Crus (Third Growths) in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. The winery is under the proprietorship of Emmanuel Cruse II of the Cruse family.
