Xanadu Estate Chardonnay (Chardonnay)


  • View: Pale straw.
  • Nose: elegant, striking, pure, complex, fresh pears, stone fruits white pulp, grapefruit, Nougat, wafers, oatmeal, subtle floral hints of Frangipani in the background.
  • Mouth: medium body, very involving, again pears, nectarine and citrus flavors, fine bone structure, a lovely, creamy feel. Refined yet complex, intense fruit, racy acidity, a final crisp and persistent fruit.

APPELLATION: Margaret River.

VINEYARD: Vineyards located in the town of Wallcliffe.

GRAPES: Chardonnay.

AGEING: aged for 9 months.

PREPARATION: pressing of the grapes whole, wild fermentation in French oak barrels clusters.

A medium bodied wine with aromas and flavours of white flowers, pear juice and nectarine.

Chief Winemaker Glenn Goodall believes that true quality begins in the vineyard and that winemaking is all about respecting the fruit - purely guiding the wines through to the bottle rather than 'beating them into submission'.
