Domaine Olivier Merlin Mâcon la Roche Vineuse Blanc 2016

Very beautiful pale gold color. Very fruity nose, on a register of exotic aromas. In the mouth, the minerality of the terroir of La Roche-Vineuse expresses itself well. Nice balance between alcohol and acidity. It is a refreshing wine to drink in its youth.

Sweet aromas, like honey. It tastes a lot like toasts, very nice.
The Domaine Olivier Merlin Mâcon la Roche Vineuse Blanc is very good if served cold.

Olivier Merlin Mâcon la Roche Vineuse 2016

For the white Merlin Blanc to Chardonnay grapes harvested from each plot separately, pressed and vinified. After a slight natural sedimentation the alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak barrels (40%) and in stainless steel tanks (60%). After this first fermentation begins a long aging in "loss" (own fine sediment) with once per week 'batonnage' (om- and by stirring the precipitate for more fat, minerality and complexity). The malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously. The wines are thus completely stable structure before being bottled. No clearance occurs. A light filtration on fine silica (kieselguhr) is sometimes used when the harvest asks for it. Often it is not even necessary. This Bourgogne blanc is sometimes lightly filtered after raising nine months. Merlin Mâcon La Roche Vineuse is fresh and very aromatic, with hints of exotic fruit. On the palate fresh and pure, smooth and fruity, with aromas of white peach. A lovely fresh chardonnay that is produced sustainably because Olivier Merlin uses no synthetic bestrijding- or fertilizer.

I've purchased on this website.
Has a deep golden yellow colour. Sweet aromas, like honey. This Mâcon tasted like what it has to be, that is grapes.

Golden yellow. In aromas , highlights lemon. This 2014 is very sweet in the mouth.
Great wine menu that would go well with a good meat.
I drank with my partner.

Olivier Merlin Mâcon la Roche Vineuse 2014
typical opaque colour. Clear aroma of grapefruit, lime and lemon. It was warm and dense, perfect.
Best pair it with some starters.
It was a surprise for my best friend.
