TASTING NOTES OF Lagarde Altas Cumbres Malbec 2013:
- View: intense red hues.
- Nose: Bulky aromas, jammy character and berries.
- Mouth: good persistence, harmonious and complex.
APPELLATION: Lujan de Cuyo.
VINES: Chateau de Lagarde
GRAPES: Malbec.
AGEING: 30% of the wine. Between 3 and 5 months in oak barrels (50% French and 50% American).
PREPARATION: fermentation in stainless steel tanks with daily pumpovers controlled below 28 °C. maceration between 8 and 12 days, depending on daily tastings. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
PAIRING: roast or stewed meats duck.
