Pimm's Nº 1 1L
You will like to know that…
In London in 1823, James Pimm created a secret mixture of herbs and other liquids with the aim to aid in the digestion of his clients. This health tonic was offered by Mr Pimm in a small cup known as the No. 1 Cup. It is from here that the liqueur earned its name. The drink became so popular that Pimm began to bottle his invention and the rest is history.
Now, Pimm's No. 1 is a British staple for summer refreshment. It has a beautiful amber hue and offers those who drink it layers of flavour. The original recipe remains a secret but what we do know that it is a gin-based liqueur infused with herbs, botanicals, caramelised orange, and spices. While a number of other Pimm's cups has been released over time, the classic Pimm's No. 1 remains the most popular.
Pimm's No. 1 is best served ice cold when the weather is warm and it can be the most refreshing. For the classic Pimm's cocktail, mix the liqueur with lemonade, mint, cucumber, strawberries, and slices of orange. Once you have tried the original cocktail, you can try Pimm's with other mixers, always making sure to use plenty of ice! It is a great companion for barbecues, brunches, sporting events, and any other sunny activity. Get yourself a bottle and do not miss out on Pimm's o'clock.
