TASTING NOTES OF El Grifo Rosado de Lágrima 2017:
- View: pale pink, raspberry clean and transparent.
- Nose: raspberry and cassis memories.
- Mouth: surprisingly good volume, smooth, well balanced with fresh and elegant finish.
GRAPES: black Listán.
PAIRING: salads, various plant varieties, pasta and fresh cheeses.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12%
The oldest winery on the Canary Islands. A family-run company since 1775. Amongst the 10 oldest wineries in Spain. Located on our property, the El Grifo Estate. Family owned vineyard: 50 Hectares. All wine-making tasks are performed by hand. Grapes are brought to the wine-cellar in 20 kg boxes. Our facilities are modern and the grapes are the protagonist of our operations. Production and bottling done on the property. Capacity of 1.2 million litres, all in stainless steel. Vat capacity: 40,000 litres. Harvest: 500.000-700.000 kg./year. Production: 400.000-600.000 bottles/year. Presses: 2 pneumatic membrane presses for 30,000 litres. Appellation or designation of origin: Lanzarote.More about the Winery

A Listan Negro with a nice colour. It mostly smells like strawberry. A very well balanced Lanzarote.
