El Grifo Listán Negro 2015 hails from oldest winery from the Canary Islands and is the flagship product of the Bodegas El Grifo. The essential feature of this wine is its terroir and the volcanic influence which shape the soil and the vinification method. The vines are planted directly in the ground according to an ancient technique and the wine is then elaborated according to the most modern technologies. The Listán Negro, the typical varietal from the Canary Islands, confers this wine its fruity flavours which will delight all palates.

TASTING NOTES of El Grifo Listán Negro 2015:
- View: Cherry-red with violet tones. Medium depth.
- Nose: Red berries with a mineral taste in the background.
- Mouth: smooth and fresh, gentle and harmonious, with fruity flavours and persistent finish.

GRAPES: Listan Negro,
PREPARATION: harvested by hand in the second half of August. Grapes do not undergo crushing. The fermentation occurs at 24ºC, once completed the must is removed and pressed. Finally, the malolactic fermentation takes place and the result is then clarified and filtered.
PAIRING: Pasta dishes, white meat and cured cheese.

The oldest winery on the Canary Islands. A family-run company since 1775. Amongst the 10 oldest wineries in Spain. Located on our property, the El Grifo Estate. Family owned vineyard: 50 Hectares. All wine-making tasks are performed by hand. Grapes are brought to the wine-cellar in 20 kg boxes. Our facilities are modern and the grapes are the protagonist of our operations. Production and bottling done on the property. Capacity of 1.2 million litres, all in stainless steel. Vat capacity: 40,000 litres. Harvest: 500.000-700.000 kg./year.
