Le Loup du Pic Languedoc 2016

TASTING NOTES OF Le Loup du Pic Languedoc 2016:

  • View: Cherry.
  • Nose: notes of strawberry and raspberry with a floral touch.
  • Boca: volume and length, a wide and generous aromatic palette.

APPELLATION: Pic Saint Loup.

GRAPES: Syrah and Grenache.

AGEING: raising a small part of the syrah for 12 months in French oak barrels. The remainder raised in vats.

PREPARATION: Syrah and Grenache vinified separately. 30 days maceration for the Syrah and Grenache 20 for.

WINE PAIRING: appetizers, sausages, meats such as rabbit, steak and even lamb.

I really appreciated the berry smell. Quite light, but was ok for my taste.
Perhaps rather soft for my taste.

My friends from Château Puech Haut brought it to me.
Red Bordeaux tone. It disclosed a very nice smell of white roses. This red has good body.

The perfect bottle to empty with friends.
red is cherry red with brown edges. Gorgeous toffee aromas. This red is a bit acidic. Just the rigth balance.
It would go perfect with blue fish.
