Elio Altare Nebbiolo Langhe 2018 (Nebbiolo)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: intense ruby ​​Rojon.
  • Nose: aromas of berries, raspberry and blackcurrant, violet and rose petals, mineral and graphite shades
  • Mouth: elegant flavor with freshness and tannic texture, dry and clean.

APPELLATION: Langhe.

VINEYARD: in La Morra, vineyards 20-50 years partially sandy calcareous soils with exposure to the south and southeast.

GRAPES: Nebbiolo 100%

AGEING: 6 months in French oak barrels used.

PREPARATION: fermentation with the skins maceration for 3-4 days in a controlled temperature rotofermenters.

WINE PAIRING: risotto with mushrooms, sausage and cold cuts, broiled meat, pasta with meat sauce and blue cheeses such as Roquefort.

I bought Elio Altare Nebbiolo Langhe on the website of the winery, but it wasn't cheap.
Young wine color, violet red. The strongest smell is red roses. It has a smoky colour.
