Marqués de Griñon Emeritus 2016 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah)
- View: cherry red, well covered.
- Nose: fruit well nuanced contributions: plum jam and fruits of the forest.
- Mouth: very good aromatic intensity, time to clean, round, elegant and powerful, with an excellent tannic structure. Final with long persistence.
APPELLATION: Domain Valdepusa.
VINEYARD: founding vineyard plots Valdepusa, mostly planted in chalky soils, at an altitude of 500 m above the level of the sea. Continental weather. Soils Domain Valdepusa are formed by a surface layer of clay with a thickness of 30 to 50 cm, which rests on a ground limestone, fragmented 2 meters or more in depth, formed in the Cretaceous period.
GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah.
AGEING: the wine is assembled from the selection of these varietals after aging for about a year, staying in French oak barrels between 8 and 10 additional months. AGEING: 30 months in Allier French oak barrels.
WINE PAIRING: game, roasts, poultry and cheeses.
