Kumeu River Hunting Hill Chardonnay, 2009: A little more youthfully soft, the aromas of exotic fruit, mango, guava, pineapple, combined with hints of spice and nuts, toasted notes and coriander seeds. In the mouth, a seductive wine, rich body, a variety of tropical fruit flavors and spices is countered with racy acidity and a satiny texture and long finish.

The Hunting Hill Chardonnay is wonderfully fragrant, with aromas of lemon and lime blossoms and a wonderful purity of fruit. A few traits he shares with neighboring vineyards, such as the attractive floral notes and restrained elegance. The grapes from Hunting Hill show particularly pure traits which, in the young wine, the firm and crisp palate are visible and you still need a bit of bottle age to reveal the actual strength and concentration.

The nose is exultant, combining the floral notes with ripe fruit. The palate has a particularly pure character displayed in all its freshness giving these characteristic features of the chardonnay grape silky and beautiful textures.

We tested this Kumeu River with my club mates.
To me, this 2017 seemed more yellow than other vintages. Kumeu River Hunting Hill Chardonnay recalls white fruit. Correct acidity.
Goes great with "Paella rice".
