Nyetimber Classic Cuvee

The 2006 is bright yellow in colour and has an aroma of stone fruits such as peaches and apricots, with complexity of ginger and touches of vanilla. The palate has excellent intensity of fruit, combined with a fine mousse and long finish that has flavours of roasted almonds and baked peach.

Nyetimber Classic Cuvée

In 2016 Nyetimber was honoured with IWSC’s ‘English Wine Producer of the Year” and it’s not hard to see why, they consistently create some of the best fizz in the UK, made in true Champagne fashion using traditional grape varieties. The Classic Cuvée blends the trio of Champagne grapes from 2013, 2010 and 2011, aging them on the lees for three years. This Sparkling Wine is creamy, intense and rich, boasting a bouquet of red apple, fresh pear and a touch of toasty brioche and vanilla. The palate displays fine delineation with hints of strawberry and cherry, nicely weighted in the mouth with a brisk and tensile finish

Delicate bubbles fill the nose with aromas of lemon tart, biscuit and floral notes.

A new era for English wine began in 1988 when the first Nyetimber vineyards were planted in the heart of West Sussex. The aim was to make premium sparkling wine that would rival Champagne.

Grapes:     50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Meunier

Region:     England / West Sussex / Pulborough

Maker:      Cherie Spriggs

Notes:      Delicate bubbles fill the nose with aromas of lemon tart, biscuit and floral notes. The palate has a rounded mouthfeel, echoing the nose with flavours of lemon tart and brioche.

Serve:      At 10-12c as an aperitif or with fish dishes

ABV:        12%
