Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Kamptal Terrassen 2019 (Grüner Veltliner)
- View: medium yellow.
- Nose: bouquet fresh light green grapes, pome and bone mineral delicious end of column.
- Mouth: well matured, green walnut, elderberry flowers and citrus fruits, some cereals, nuts and corn flakes, very dry and fresh with good body and structure, also notes of leafy spices and spicy rye bread and malt.
VINEYARD: different vineyards in terraces. The high terraces are formed by more stony soils (schist granite). The vineyards show aromatic expression, good acidity, elegant stone fruit and lots of minerality. The terraces lower, mostly fertile loess layered body and show more maturity. Combining these two features we get a really classic Grüner Veltliner with delicacy and some vigor.
GRAPES: Grüner Veltliner 100%.
PREPARATION: the wine ferments at a temperature of between 15 and 20 ° C
PAIRING WINE: with many starters like smoked trout, ham, cold vegetables, seafood, tapas, goat cheese marinated with herbs, grilled fish or grilled chicken, Asian dishes not too hot as dim sum, or wok, or good vegan cuisine.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10-11ºC
Weingut Bründlmayer is situated in Langenlois, some 70km north-west of Vienna, upstream along the Danube in the Lower Austrian Kamp Valley. The wooded hills of the Waldviertel protect the vineyards from the cold north-westerly winds. During the day, the sun warms the stony terraces, while at night the fresh, fragrant forest air drifts through the Kamp Valley into the Langenloiser Arena.More about the Winery
