Grape varieties (%): 100% Grenache. Preparation: Aged 12 months in large oak barrels (fudres). Alcohol volume: 14%. Serving temperature: 16-18º C. Food pairing: white and red meat in sauce, grilled or grilled cheese and a half short healing, various roasts. Tasting notes: Color cherry red, bright red trim, thick base layer and slowly tear gently tinted. Aromas of fresh, ripe red fruit, toasted oak marked that fail to annoy, fine spicy with hints of sweet paprika and red peppercorns, soft feel of candied cherry liqueur. Notable on the palate with a strong durable, powerful and intense journey astringency with good acidity, tasty red fruit, very spicy. Long, aftertaste of red fruit and smoky aftertaste and slightly syrupy

Another of my recent discoveries. Although he knew the property Casa Castillo, Jumilla, mainly for its Monastrell Pie Franco, a real flagship in the DO, at a fair could taste El Molar, a single varietal Grenache and I was surprised because I did not record that 100% Garnacha is vinificase in Jumilla. This grape, with a massive presence in our territory, shown here once again its versatility depending on where it is grown and yields. And being in Jumilla addition, I would expect an extremely aromatic, exuberant, greedy and alcoholic ... Garnacha., And on the contrary, I find a wine of little color, with a floral aroma and some mouth maturity (characteristic of the zone), with an end of a green that I even like. A surprise.

Buying wine as El Molar 2015 at Uvinum and will not regret it.
Red intense cherry colour and very high layer. Good aromas of ripe fruit. It left a long taste.
