Egobodegas Talento 2016

- Nose: An alluring scent with red fruit notes and plenty of spice.
- Mouth: Luxuriously full on the palate on the palate with lush fruit notes of plum and blackcurrant alongside black pepper and a bit of herbs. Firm tannins provide structure and melt into a rich and memorable finish.
VINEYARD: Egobodegas. The winery owns and operates a total of 35 hectares located in the infamous Jumilla region in Murcia, Spain. Located in south-eastern Spain, Jumilla is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the plateau of La Mancha. Jumilla is one of the driest wine regions in the country and receives abundant sunshine, although the winters are considerably cold. These conditions lead to grapes with high sugar concentration and balanced acidity.
GRAPES: 50% Monastrell and 50% Syrah.
AGEING: Aged for 2-3 months in American oak barrels.
PREPARATION: Egobodegas believes in using new innovations alongside traditional techniques. The grapes were harvested both mechanically and manually, and were selected from plots that had exactly the type of character needed. The fermentation and maceration took place in stainless steel tanks temperature-controlled to 26ºC for 15-20 days, on the lees.
PAIRING: Lamb, pasta with red sauce, mature cheeses.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12-15ºC
