AGEING: Aged in new French oak barrels for 18 to 24 months, then aged for an additional 12 to 14 months in the bottle.PREPARATION: Antonio Argiolas founded the namesake winery back in the 1930s. Today the winery is under the leadership of the third generation, and continues to show dedication to industry as it relates to the region. To create Argiolas Turriga Isola Dei Nuraghi Rosso 2014, the grapes were hand-picked and carefully selected for ideal ripeness. The fermentation was temperature controlled to a relatively warm 28-32°C. The maceration stage lasted for 16 to 18 days with strategic use of the délestage technique.

The Winery



This winery's story are actually the chronicles of a Sardinian family. In search of quality winemaking Antonio, the founder, planted vine rows and joined vineyards together. Later his two sons took over together with their wives. Today the Argiolas winery is still family-owned in the third generation.

We had it with a birthday cake. I tasted it with wine enthusiasts.
Cherry colour, low layer. This wine from Argiolas smells like red fruit compote. Black plum compote flavours.
