Becherovka is a traditional Czech liqueur. It is also called Třináctý pramen, which means 'Thirteenth source'. This unique liqueur is produced in the spa town of Karlovy Vary. Its history dates back to 1807, and its name comes from its inventor, the pharmacist Josef Vitus Becher.
It is already remarkable for its natural preparation and the use of the renowned Carlsbad alkaline water. The success of this exquisite liqueur, in fact, is due not only to the excellent quality of the water, but also to the fact that it is free of added chemical ingredients or any type of preservative or emulsifier. Its secret lies in the skilful use of natural herbs and sugars, which create a completely natural herbal bitter.
As has often happened, Becherovka was also created as a natural remedy for various ailments and to aid digestion. Josef Becher spent two years of his life perfecting this unique recipe. Today, we can enjoy this liqueur even in perfect health! Drink it cold or use it to create so many cocktails!

The Jan Becher company is located in the spa town of Karlovy Vary. Its origins date back to 1794, when Josef Becher Vitus, a pharmacist by profession, rented a distillery and began experimenting. He obtained what would become the most famous liqueur from the Czech Republic. Today, the drink remains a success: about 8 million litres are produced annually, of which 3.6 million are exported to over 40 countries around the world.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: Liquor made of about 20 spices and aromatic herbs. Vegetable elements are placed in sacks, which are then immersed in alcohol for a week. Subsequently, the mixture obtained from maceration is mixed with water and natural sugar, and left to rest for two months in oak barrels.
Becherovka, pronounced “beck-ur-OHV-kuh”, is a 200-year-old liqueur from the Czech Republic.
