- Vista: The Amaro Averna 1L is a deep caramel brown.
- Nose: After some bitterness, the smell of the drink are proving complex and rich. Fruits provide a fresh touch while different herbs take more notes of earth, finally, candy gives us that final touch sweet.
- Palate: After an attack mixture of both sweet and astringent, bitter and sweet in a fascinating ballet, bitter almond notes combine with candy for a constant surprise. Finally, the finish is long.
PRODUCER: Averna. In 1868 in Sicily the Averna family starts using a recipe that was given by the Capuchin monks, who soon had great success on the island. This is emigrating to the United States as the Sicilians have indicated one of their favorite drinks at the international level and that the Amaro Averna 1L has taken a new boom.
COUNTRY: Italy (Sicily).
PRODUCTION DETAILS: Although now part of the Campari group, nothing has been changed to the original recipe. It consists of 33 ingredients, bitter almond, cinnamon, gentian, Granada, mint, basil and other herbs from the Mediterranean.
