“With a delicate, very elegant bouquet and a soft first impression on the palate, this wine delivers attractive blackcurrant and tobacco notes. Smooth, silky tannins and a delicate note of raspberry on the finish.”
“The wine shows an elegant, deep color with touches of black cherry, and light oak aromas which will gradually recede. Typical Cantemerle flavors of spice, tobacco and black currant predominate.
First impressions are firm and delectable; well-incorporated tannins and a fruity finish show pleasant freshness. A fine wine, pleasant, concentrated and elegant, reflecting the nobility of its terroir. With decanting it will be ready to drink in 2016, and will accompany poultry, meats and mushrooms. It has charm to spare.”
“Fish might not be right here, rather meat or vegetables. We ordered a bottle at a dinner between a group of friends and everybody liked it.
This Château Cantemerle Les Allées de Cantemerle reveals a bright yellow. Over all, the Château Cantemerle Les Allées de Cantemerle reminded me of white flowers. A special wine, I really liked it.”
“This "second" wine of Château Cantemerle, a fifth believed Haut-Médoc respected, resulting from a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. It is the result aged in oak barrels for 12 months with 20% having been in new oak barrels providing stronger aromas. The wine is unfiltered to retain maximum flavor possible. It will be better to decant an hour in advance to get the best of the riches of this excellent wine.”
This wine’s black-cherry and deep garnet color is typical of Bordeaux. Its expressive aromas open up to show very fruity, raspberry notes. In the mouth the wine is immediately accessible, notable for its charm and floral character.
